Harbour Island Welcomes You Year Round
One arrives at the dock at Dunmore Town, a quaint and historic village, founded three hundred years ago and the first Capitol of the Bahamas. The town has a flavor all its own. To some it is delightfully reminiscent of a New England fishing village, to others a small town in the south of France and yet it is distinctively the home of the “Brillanders” whose friendly greetings are a cherished part of every day.

The house sits on the beach just five minutes from town. With three and a half miles of powder pink sand, Harbour Island, Bahamas boasts the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean, if not the world. Sunnyside Cottage is located on the beach, and within walking distance of quaint colonial Dunmore Town.

Sunnyside Cottage was originally built in l966 and has been completely renovated in 2003. It has four bedrooms, three and one half bathrooms (plus an outside shower), a large living room/dining room area, kitchen and spacious sun deck. The cottage sleeps eight comfortably (two bedrooms have queen size beds and two bedrooms each have two twin beds (both sets of twin beds can be made up as king-size beds).

The living room/dining room and two bedrooms have sliding glass doors onto the patio facing the ocean. The second floor bedroom also boasts a panoramic view of the sea. The patio offers a covered porch for those who would like to enjoy the seaside in the shade. Also relax on the beach under our thatched "palapa" umbrella.
